Cell Group

Sunday mornings are great opportunities to celebrate and contribute, and even connect. But real connection happens in cell groups. At 2|42, the most important ministry is our Cell Group ministry. It's where real life change happens. It's where "2|42" happens actually.
Acts 2:42 - 47
The Fellowship of the Believers
42They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. 44All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

I've been reminded of this often lately. My cell group is an amazing group of people. People I am excited to live and share life with. We've supported each other through illness, and death. We've celebrated together: eating together, laughing and even crying together.

If you attend 2|42 and have not yet checked out a cell group, do it now. If you have checked one out in the past, but didn't find one that fit for you/your family, check 'em out again. There are new groups starting up all the time. To experience true community, to experience The Fellowship of the Believers, you really need to be involved in a cell group.

This is something that I've really been pushing within my area of ministry as well. Earlier this month, during our worship team gathering, I asked Chris Tyrpak (a cell group leader) to share with the team the importance of cell group involvement. Check it out:

I think Chris summed it up great. I've heard that he's a great cell leader and he's an awesome member of the worship team. We're blessed to have him!

*If you are a Worship Leader, or Music/Arts Director, I'd love to hear how you handle this at your church/with your teams.
